If you've yet to check out Assassin's Creed Valhalla for yourself, Ubisoft has a little something up its sleeve for you: later this week, the 2020 open-world action-RPG will be free to download and check out, but only for a limited time.
Ubisoft has announced that it will be holding a free trial for Assassin's Creed Valhalla on all platforms, giving any newcomers a chance to get into the game ahead of the massive Dawn Of Ragnarok expansion.
The free trial is expected to kick off on all platforms on February 24, though you should be able to pre-download the day before. Just keep checking your respective storefront. The trial is also dropping just after the launch of the game's substantial 1.5 patch, which should be available to download today (February 22). That means all you newbies will be getting the best and most polished version of the game, with plenty of bugs ironed out and systems quietly improved.
Advert
You'll be able to play the free trial until February 28, at which point you'll obviously have the option to buy the game - something I'm sure Ubisoft would really love for you to do. Should you choose to do so, any progress you made during the trial will carry over. Although I should warn you, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is so massive that you probably won't even have left the starting region of Norway for England by the time it's over.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn Of Ragnarok will be released March 10 and set players back £35. You can read all about the ambitious expansion and what to expect from it right here.
