Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series has been around since 2007 and for better or worse, the series has offered its fair share of variety.
From the original game that started it all starring the brooding Altair, to the side-scrolling Chronicles spin-offs to the more modern RPG trilogy, Assassin’s Creed has a little bit of something for everyone.

The entries that are dubbed the ‘RPG trilogy' include Assassin’s Creed Origins (2017), Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (2018) and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (2020). However, the series has gone back to its 2007 roots with Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

In our review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, we said: “For all of you who fell out of love with the Assassin’s Creed series during the RPG games, I'd urge you to take a leap of faith with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, I don't think you'll be disappointed.”
Today’s topic of discussion is the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed Origins, a game deemed the very best of the ‘RPG trilogy’ by fans and with that in mind, fans believe that Origins deserves its sequel and we totally agree. After all, Ezio had his fair share of sequels, so why not Bayek?
“Bayek TRULY deserves a sequel,” exclaimed a Redditor sparking conversation on the thread. “This character is easily the most incredibly written character since Ezio.”
“It is a shame that he never got at least a duology, of him being in Judea, fighting King Herod with Kawab, or in Roma with Aya, playing as an old mentor as he teaches the Creed and finalises the tenets, Bayek in the Hidden Ones DLC is by far one of the most badass characters Ubisoft has ever done.”

“Agreed, but I’d like to see some more development from him. In Origins, he just seemed to go straight from a Medjay who loves children and wants revenge for his son’s death, to the founder of the Brotherhood,” replied tsf97.
“Bayek should have had a trilogy,” said another Reddit user. “Odyssey is cool and Valhalla has a lot of cool ideas... But damn I wish they would have stuck with Bayek.”
Whether Bayek will ever get a proper sequel remains to be seen, but sadly, we wouldn't bank on it. Assassin’s Creed Origins is available now for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
