When I was younger I wasn't allowed to buy Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Turns out all the pirates meant it was an "arrr" rated game.
See that? You don't just get dumb stories here, you get crap jokes too. Anyway, now that we're all laughing, I thought I might draw your attention to a gorgeous Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remaster that you can actually download and check out now.
We all know Black Flag is one of the best games in the entire series, if not the best. I'm aware in the ranking of all the games that I just linked back there has Odyssey over Black Flag, and for the life of me I can't think why I would have done that. It was 2020, so clearly the pandemic messed with my brain.
If you fancy revisiting Black Flag and just can't wait for the remake Ubisoft hasn't confirmed but is almost definitely happening, have we got the mod for you.

If you're familiar with the modding scene then you probably already know of the CryNation 2.0 "ultra realistic" graphics mod for Black Flag.
While I wouldn't suggest this mod could be described as "ultra realistic", it does give the classic pirate RPG a gorgeous visual overhaul that includes, among other things, vastly improved lighting and simulated ray-tracing effects. I
t definitely gives the game a huge boost that brings it up to modern standards, and looks way better than you'd have any right to expect for what is effectively a free download.
So, if you're looking to give one of the best Assassin's Creed games out there a modern facelift, this is definitely the mod for you. Obviously this is PC only, though, so console gamers will just have to wait for the official remake. Whenever that comes.
