You may think that the Hogwarts Legacy hype is easing but oh no. We still have another two launch windows to go, my friends. The Harry Potter RPG is due to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 5 May, followed by Nintendo Switch on 25 July. It’s not the only Harry Potter RPG on the way though.
Hogwarts Legacy has been a major commercial success. It sold a massive 12 million copies in the first two weeks of release alone. That makes it the most successful Harry Potter game of all time and Warner Bros. Games’ biggest launch ever. This drove $850 million in revenue, although analysts claim this is most likely to be much closer to $1 billion by now. With two more launch windows to go, we should expect these numbers to continue to grow to dizzying heights. If you’ve finished Hogwarts Legacy and are itching for more, you may be interested in checking out Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.
Someone has modded PS1 Hagrid into Hogwarts Legacy. Take a look below.
As reported by Android Police, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened has soft launched in selected territories including Austria, Denmark, Finland, Israel, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Sweden and Switzerland - with a full worldwide release due soon. If this is the first you’re hearing of the game, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is essentially an immersive collectible card game with MMO and RPG elements.

The synopsis reads, “Your journey to master the magic starts here! You are invited to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Duel in thrilling multiplayer, real-time matches. Browse the dazzling shops of Diagon Alley, solve mysteries as you roam the school halls, play Quidditch, dance at the Ball, explore the Forbidden Forest, and more in this new card collection and role-playing game.”
The game was originally released in Asia in 2022, earning $223 million in its first two months. The title was then set for wider launch in late 2022 but this was delayed. This latest soft release could be the final testing period before the game is eventually put out worldwide. You can pre-register for the title if you want to stay up to date on its progress.
