Jurassic Park is a franchise that’s had its fair share of video game adaptations. Jurassic World Evolution, LEGO Jurassic World, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis … the list goes on. According to one insider though, a brand new AAA Jurassic Park game could be in development which is certainly music to my ears.
It’s a pretty major week for gaming announcements. Tomorrow, Geoff Keighley will host his Summer Game Fest. We’re due to see a gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, a brand new trailer for Netflix’s third season of The Witcher, and the full reveal of Fortnite’s upcoming WILDS season which will launch on Friday. It’s also believed that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will get a full reveal. I’m sure Geoff will have a few surprises up his sleeve. Personally, I’d love to see Tomb Raider 4 and Ghost of Tsushima 2 confirmed. A girl can dream. While you shouldn’t expect to see it anytime soon, one insider is convinced that a AAA Jurassic Park is on the way.
Speaking of Mortal Kombat 1, take a look at the gruesome reveal trailer that dropped a couple of weeks ago.
ResetEra user DemonCarnotaur claims to know of the game, although I’d take this with an extremely generous pinch of salt until anything is officially confirmed. They wrote, “So recently, I heard a AAA Jurassic Park game is in development, though I'm not sure who is the developer or publisher - all I know is 'it's the game fans have been hungry for.’”

They continued, “That got me thinking, what type of game would you like [it to] be, and what developer would you like to see tackle it?” Many were in agreement that it should be an intense survival horror. Creative Assembly is a studio that popped up a lot in responses, mainly due to people saying that a Jurassic Park game could essentially be Alien Isolation but with dinos.
There’s little evidence to confirm the existence of a Jurassic Park game but we’re seeing a number of other major film franchises get the AAA treatment. An Indiana Jones game is in the works, as is a John Wick adaptation. It would be nice to see Jurassic Park join that list.
