The Twitter page 'Shitty Gaming Takes' had been dead for a while, which is a shame. It revealed funny comments from idiots across the Internet on the subject of video games. One post shows a social media comment, in which a user claimed speedrunning is a result of the radical left's lack of work ethic (do it fast rather than do it right, or something). Pretty hilarious.
Often, however, things take a bit of a dark (albeit predictable) turn - and that's when women are involved. In fact, comments across the web went so wild at the rumours of Grand Theft Auto 6 having a female protagonist, that Shitty Gaming Takes came back to life.
Check out our roundup video of everything we know about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6!
Firstly, we need to add that this isn't the first time that the series has had female protagonists. The original Grand Theft Auto has playable characters called Katie, Mikki, Divine, and Ulrika - the first three of which were women of colour. This was 1997.

This bit of history seemed to have bypassed a few social media users, though, because they think the inclusion of women in the series is a betrayal to the old players and a pander to a new "woke" audience. One user's comment, shared on Shitty Gaming Takes with the identity covered with a clown image, speculated that "vehicles aren't privately owned, so technically you aren't committing GTA".
We're not sure how they made the jump from female protagonist to a communist society, but there you go. We're going to give them the benefit of the doubt, and assume it was a satirical comment making fun of this kind of anti-woke keyboard warrior. Although, judging from the all the other discourse we've seen about this on message boards, we're not getting our hopes up. Either way, we're glad Shitty Gaming Memes are keeping up the good work and ridiculing stuff like this.
