Twitch streamer Fiona Fan, or fanfan, seems to have evaded a ban even though she showed nudity in a game in an uncomfortably long shower scene.
Twitch is famously rigorous when it comes to potential terms of service violations from its users. Last week, JustKeth was banned for the first time for three days for "offering sexual content" through showing her bare feet live on stream which she queried. According to Twitch's community guidelines, streamers will see a ban if they show "content or camera focus on breasts, buttocks, or pelvic region, including poses that deliberately highlight these elements" and "fetishizing behavior or activity." As such, you understand why playing with a pair of fake breasts would be a bannable offence whereas revealing your bare feet is arguably a different contextual case altogether.
While others are dodging bans left and right, this Call of Duty player used a voice changer to prank some fellow streamers - check it out:
Additionally, streamers are not permitted to play games where nudity is included, which is where Fan fell foul of the regulations. She was streaming Heavy Rain earlier this week and she was unaware that there would soon be a nude shower scene with the female playable character. It's bizarre enough that this is a whole protracted scene for the player to watch anyway, but that's an argument against Quantic Dream for another day.
Once it was clear that the game would be focusing on the woman's body as she showered, Fan panicked and her viewers spammed "banned" in the chat. At the moment, her account is still active and might have avoided a ban in spite of the violation. Twitch does state that as long as the player of that game using nudity does not draw attention to the content and progresses past as fast as they are able to, then they have done their best to stay within the terms of service.
