The Star Wars universe has a few films in the pipeline, with one coming from Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy.
According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Levy and Disney are eyeing Ryan Gosling to star in the upcoming film.

Further details are, of course, unavailable as the film is shrouded in mystery, however, that hasn’t stopped fans on Reddit building their excitement.
Gosling is one of Hollywood’s hottest actors and is known for his vast range, making him an interesting choice for the franchise.
“Colour me interested,” says JSK23, after reading the news.
Another user, not-a-replicant said, “I’m interested. If they can combine a good bit of serious Drive/BR2049 Gosling with a little bit of funny The Nice Guys Gosling - this could be really cool.”
The film is reportedly moving away from the Skywalker Saga and exploring new ground, which opens up a wealth of possibility for the kind of character Gosling could play.
This wouldn’t be the first time the actor has dabbled in sci-fi, as he starred in Blade Runner 2049 opposite Harrison Ford.
MareC0gnitum thinks this is a good move, saying, “He is a really talented actor, it would be so good to see him in Star Wars.”
In reply, dwide_k_shrude mentions, “His work in Blade Runner is incredible.”
Some fans are already guessing at the genre of the Star Wars project and how Gosling would fit in if he were a Jedi.
Horvat53 says, “Make him a cool Jedi that goes and investigates some s**t. It doesn’t need to be this grand galaxy saving story, just a Jedi doing Jedi things.”
With a huge amount of star power, Gosling can play anything from charismatic goofball to sexy and brooding, this will be one to keep an eye on for fans of the series and of Gosling himself.
