Star Wars fans just realising Jar Jar Binks has a disturbingly high kill count

Don't miss with the Binks

The adage goes ‘looks can be deceiving’; never has that been truer than when we analyse Star Wars’ Jar Jar Binks.

Love or hate him, this Star Wars character is more than just the light comedic relief George Lucas intended him to be.

There’s actually a lot of depth to Jar Jar Binks, not all of it pleasant.

Fans were horrified by Jar Jar's father, but that's but the tip of a more upsetting iceberg.

The Phantom Menace was our first experience of Jar Jar Binks, but it wouldn't be our last

Clumsy though this much hated character is, Jar Jar has long been suspected of harbouring a rather sinister secret.

It’s a popular fan theory that made its way into The Acolyte via the dramatic Qimir Sith reveal; in one instant, the bumbling idiot becomes a lethal Sith lord.

Despite only being a theory rather than canonical fact, Jar Jar’s kill count suggests that Star Wars fans are on the money about this seemingly harmless character.

On the ‘Lists of Death’ bit of the Star Wars fandom Wiki, you’ll find a list (shockingly) that details just under 200 characters’ body counts.

Although Jar Jar Binks isn’t the deadliest of characters, nor is he a pacifist either.

Jar Jar is positioned at number 52 with a total of 43 kills.

Initially, that doesn't sound like a lot; after all, Ahsoka Tano has apparently killed 4,002,915 individuals. Worryingly, that’s a higher count than Anakin’s, though that’s a topic of discussion best left for another day...

While not the highest score, Jar Jar ranks higher than Thorn’s meagre 20 count.

It would seem that Jar Jar isn’t just a funny guy, after all. There’s a lot about him we still don’t know, with every new detail only helping to convince us that he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The shocks continue, for it would seem Luke Skywalker isn’t without his dark side either after his canonical kill count was also disclosed.

Much blood has been spilled in a galaxy far, far away, and at the hands of those we thought heroes (or non-threatening).
