Ever wondered the whereabouts of Ahsoka during Star Wars’ sequel trilogy?
Well, I may just have the answer you’re looking for.
It goes without saying that Ahsoka didn’t appear within the sequel trilogy, although that’s not really a surprise.

At that point in time, Ahsoka was only a character appreciated by those who watched the animated The Clone Wars and Rebels.
It was only in 2023, four years after Star Wars’ sequel trilogy drew to a close with The Rise of Skywalker, that Ahsoka made her live-action debut - introducing her to the masses.
Retrospectively though, many of us are now curious to discover exactly what the character was up to during this time … if she was alive.
We don’t actually know if Ahsoka was alive or dead in the sequel trilogy.

Her voice did appear in the film, guiding Rey, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Ahsoka was dead and therefore a force ghost; she could have just been at one with the force.
In season one of Ahsoka, we see the character inhabit the ‘World Between Worlds’. We know that her relationship to both life and death is ever-changing.
It is now looking far more likely, however, that Ahsoka had died by the time The Rise of Skywalker’s events took place.
The film is currently in the midst of receiving a comic book adaptation, with Issue #5 featuring a panel of force ghosts aiding Rey.

This builds upon the voices that Rey hears in the film and as you might’ve guessed, it appears that Ahsoka is one of the ghosts visiting Rey.
It’s not concrete proof.
While Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Anakin Skywalker, and Mace Windu’s force ghosts stand front and centre, to name just a few examples, Ahsoka’s stands in the background, shrouded by a cloak.
It does look an awful lot like Ahsoka though.
Advert
You can see her white lekku, and the mysterious figure is holding a white lightsaber - something famously donned by Ahsoka.
The only other possibility is that this is Shaak Ti, although she wields a blue blade so it’s pretty unlikely.
Ahsoka has died and resurrected several times so I don’t think we should be too worried about this; it would explain why she doesn’t appear in the trilogy though in a more substantial way.
Perhaps season two of Ahsoka will hold some all-important answers.
