Marvel fans believe there is only one choice who should become the leader of the MCU’s new Avengers.
Being the first Avenger and a natural-born leader even before he was given superpowers, Steve Rogers aka Captain America was always going to be the obvious leader in MCU’s Avengers but now he’s no more, someone else has big shoes to fill.
Check out the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World below!
What’s more, with Tony Stark aka Iron Man being gone, Marvel’s live-action Avengers have essentially lost two major leaders. That being said, Robert Downey Jr. is still a busy bee now that he’s been cast as Fantastic Four Villain, Doctor Doom.

So who could be the next leader of MCU’s Avengers? Some of the more obvious choices would be Thor, Doctor Strange or even Spider-Man.
However, Marvel fans believe that the new role should belong to Sam Wilson formerly known as Falcon now seen as the new Captain America.
As the Falcon, Anthony Mackie oozes with on-screen charisma and his character came into his own with the Disney Plus series Falcon and The Winter Soldier. But now as the new Captain America, his role has been taken up several notches in the upcoming movie, Captain America: Brave New World.
“Anthony Mackie's Captain America is reportedly set to co-lead the Avengers in the MCU,” said Redditor Louis_DCVN, sharing a headline from The Cosmic Circus.

“Is anyone actually surprised?” replied Sto_Nerd relaying what everyone else is likely feeling with adammustrick adding “In other news, the sky is blue.”

Other members on the thread also responded to rumours that Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel is the second co-leader, which is a great choice in my opinion.
Hopefully, we’ll learn how the fate of the new Avengers plays out when Captain America: Brave New World arrives in cinemas on 14 February 2025.
