MCU and Fallout fans unite over perfect X-Men casting

MCU and Fallout fans unite over perfect X-Men casting

Now this is a good casting

The first MCU film to star the X-Men is years away at this point, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a bit of fun talking about which actors should play the characters.

In truth, we’ll probably only see a full-on X-Men film after Avengers: Secret Wars, which will cap off the Multiverse Saga and begin a new one, possibly the Mutant Saga.

That being said the roots of mutants in the MCU might be seen in Captain America: Brave New World

As for who’ll play our favourite mutated heroes, we’ve got quite a few options.

Fans already think they’ve found the perfect casting choices for Wolverine, the leader of the X-Men Scott Summers aka Cyclops, and even Gambit following the events of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Now a new face has been pitched for a fan-favourite character, Kitty Pryde, the mutant whose ability is phasing through solid matter.

In previous films she was portrayed by Elliot Page, but for the MCU fans are pitching Ella Purnell for the role.

Fallout fans will recognise that name immediately from the live-action Amazon Prime series, where she played the lead role of Lucy.

In a Reddit thread mulling over the potential casting, fans were in slight disagreement, not because of Purnell’s acting ability, but because she’s a bit spoilt for choice in terms of roles she could play if she chose to.

“Counterpoint? Jean Grey. I don't want an X-Men where the youngest characters are 30,” said one X-Men fan.

Another even pitched her for the role of “Squirrel Girl,” and honestly I can see that becoming reality.

Aside from the other jokes about the role going to Robert Downey Jr again, one commenter put it best when they said, “She could be anything in MCU and I’ll watch it 100%.”

Of course it’s far too early to tell what our future X-Men team could look like, but hopefully we get an idea sooner rather than later.
