Deadpool is dead, long live Deadpool. Well, Wade Wilson as Deadpool is dead, or will be very soon, and a new Deadpool will fill his shoes.
Marvel has long been teasing us that Deadpool, usually unkillable, is going to die. This is because of a villain called Death Grip.
Batman is back in Arkham in a new game on its way to Meta Quest 3
Essentially, Death Grip has switched off Deadpool’s healing abilities and his unkillable trait by using a Muramasa blade on him.

Typical comic book stuff, really. This would leave Marvel Comics with no Deadpool, but lo and behold, Wade Wilson’s daughter Ellie will be donning the red suit and taking his place.
Ellie, who is only 14, has been trained by Taskmaster, so she is definitely up for the job and she will debut in Deadpool issue #7.
This all started because Death Grip wanted to see how far he could push Wilson’s healing factor as he is obsessed with the idea of death and the undying.
Now Deadpool will finally get the rest he deserves (for how long, who knows, comics am I right?) and Ellie will be on the lookout for vengeance, with Taskmaster tagging along to carry on the training.

Writer Cody Ziglar has pretty much stated that they wanted to flip things on their head and what better way to start a new Deadpool arc than by killing him?
So, Wade will die in issue #6 and Ellie puts on the suit in the following issue. Whether she has the mouth on her that her daddy does, is yet to be seen.
A part of me hopes that Marvel keeps Wade Wilson dead for a while. We all know he’ll make a comeback, but nowadays the deaths of characters are all too brief.
They lack the gravitas they once did when it seems every other week someone else is being killed.
