There’s not long to wait now.
The highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine is set to launch on 26 July, slated as the film that could ‘save’ the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Let’s be honest, the MCU could do with a shake up.

We currently find ourselves partway through The Multiverse Saga, and the idea of the multiverse is quickly becoming tiresome.
It was fun at first, especially seeing characters from other universes such as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men team up with Tom Holland’s but the multiverse has outstayed its welcome.
While, yes, we know that Deadpool & Wolverine will play around with the idea of the multiverse, it’s also believed that it could be the film to put it to bed.
Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

The Multiverse Saga could still keep its namesake, focusing on a new villain who perhaps arrived from another universe whilst putting a stop to the universe-travelling plotline.
At least, that’s what I’m hoping for.
What we do know for certain is that Deadpool & Wolverine is set to introduce several new Deadpool variations.
ICYMI: Take a look at the film’s trailer below.
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to introduce Lady Deadpool and Cowboy Deadpool but it’s Lady Deadpool that’s got fans talking.

Known as Wanda Wilson in the comics, Lady Deadpool hails from Earth-3010 and assumed the mantle to combat a growing fascist sentiment in the United States’ government led by General America.
What her role will be in Deadpool & Wolverine, we don’t know but it’s who will play her that’s got fans talking.
It’s long been rumoured that Taylor Swift is set to appear in the film, largely due to her close relationship to star Ryan Reynolds. Swift is godmother to Reynolds’ children.

At first, it was thought she might play Dazzler but with that rumour seemingly debunked, many are now assuming she might be the face behind Lady Deadpool.
The other prominent theory is Reynold’s wife Blake Lively which, I have to say, would be iconic.
I’m a fan of both so I’d love for one of these theories to be right. I guess we’ll find out on 26 July.
