As expected, Marvel’s latest movie Deadpool & Wolverine has taken the world, and the box office, by storm.

Released just last month, Marvel’s latest release shot to the top of the box office and remains there to this day, with the movie hitting an eye-watering $824 million globally.

Check out a teaser trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine below!

Starring Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as Deadpool alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, the two find themselves going up against the dreaded multiverse.

As we all know, the multiverse means that coming across other variants of our favourite superheroes is part of the course and this was no different in Deadpool & Wolverine.

That is why the movie gave us our first look at a brand-new Wolverine variant that just happened to be played by Henry Cavill himself.

Called “The Cavillerine” by Wade Wilson, Cavill made his cameo as the variant with Wilson telling him that Marvel Studios would treat him much better than “those shift**ks down the street”.

This is referring to the DCEU which Cavill also starred in as Superman.

Now for the first time since Deadpool & Wolverine was released, Cavill has taken to social media to share his Wolverine-inspired makeover.

Posting an image of him from the movie with the trademark hair and a cigar hanging out of his mouth, the caption read, "To be safe, I shaved the moustache off for this one. Just the moustache."

With speculation that this could mean Cavill is taking over from Jackman as Wolverine, it would be the perfect introduction.

For now, fans were excited enough for his cameo.

“We need to see more of him!” one reply read.

Another said: “Please make him Wolverine if they do recast Jackman”.

It remains to be seen what Marvel’s plans are for both Jackman and Cavill but for now, let us appreciate what we have until it's gone.
