MCU fans are speculating whether a powerful being has been right in front of us the whole time, specifically in the Deadpool films.
For years, fans have wondered if Deadpool’s friend Peter, played by Rob Delaney, is actually another Marvel character, or is he just a regular guy?
Deadpool and Wolverine features lots of great cameos and a bunch of jokes pulled from Marvel history
Peter has appeared in the films and has a larger role in Deadpool and Wolverine, leading one fan to wonder, is he actually The Beyonder.

This theory features mild spoilers for the new Deadpool film, so get out of here if you care about that sort of thing.
The theory goes that Peter, who is a friend to Deadpool in every universe, is actually The Beyonder because that character shares one mind across all realities.
Remarkable_Base4022 postulates that other characters, like Spider-Man, look and appear different, whereas Peter doesn’t. He’s the same in each timeline and universe.
While it’s an interesting idea, others are quick to point out that Peter is likely a stand-in for Peter Parker.

This is because, in the comics, whenever Deadpool is veering into morally bad areas, Peter Parker usually steps in to put him on the straight and narrow.
Of course, Sony Pictures owns the rights to Peter Parker and Spider-Man.
Peter was probably a surrogate in that relationship, as explained by KnightrousDarkcide, “I figured this was a tongue in cheek reference to Peter Parker, and how he's owned by Sony.”
That doesn’t mean things can’t change. Peter was established before Marvel and Sony became more open to using Spider-Man in the MCU.

And, The Beyonder does set up the Secret Wars storyline we’ll see in Avengers: Secret Wars, so perhaps there’s a long con going on in the MCU.
Ryan Reynolds did say before the third Deadpool film debuted that it would have an impact on the MCU, but that might have just been Deadpool’s arrival as Marvel Jesus.
