Daredevil: Born Again’s first trailer has been shared by Marvel Studios, and there’s a lot to talk about.
It’s been the long-awaited revival of the best Marvel series to ever premiere, revived and revitalised for the MCU’s cosmic stage.

Matt Murdock is back with his dear friends Franklin “Foggy” Nelson and Karen Page, played by Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll respectively, and Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio is running for mayor of New York.
We also get a glimpse at some of the other heroes and villains making their MCU debut, including Muse the blood-artist and The Punisher who’ll once again be played by Jon Bernthal.
From the trailer alone we can see it’s taking the darker tones of the Netflix series and elevating it to new heights, being the next Marvel project to have the White Label for its violence and gore.
As a lifelong Daredevil fan even I was shaken by the violence seen in the trailer, and I can’t wait to see what the one-take action scene will be for this bold new take on the character.
There is of course the overlying question of how this will tie into the wider MCU, as New York is a hotspot for superheroes and with Wilson Fisk as the mayor that will surely cause some problems for the other heroes operating in the city.
The cast has teased some overlap with other characters when talking about the show, so we’ll just have to see who makes an appearance, I wouldn’t count on endless cameos though.
Daredevil: Born Again is seriously exciting, not just for fans of the Netflix series but for new fans who haven’t got the same context for these characters and their stories.
Here’s hoping we catch a glimpse of one of Daredevil’s most popular crime partners though, the spectacular Spider-Man…
Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ later this year on 5 March in the UK.
