The scale of Avengers: Doomsday just got bigger.

With the next phase in the MCU ushering in a new era, fans have suspected for some time that the main two Avengers films will up the ante.

Now, with further teasers about the upcoming releases coming to light, it seems that Marvel is putting its all into Phase Six.

Once again, the insider knowledge of Daniel Richtman comes into play here, for the renowned leaker has revealed more details about Doomsday in particular.

According to Richtman, as shared by ComicBook Movie, “multiple” Watchers will star in the film.

Before we get Avengers: Doomsday, we get the bloody brilliance of Daredevil: Born Again

For those unfamiliar with these individuals, they’re “omniscient fifth dimensional beings” that oversee the often chaotic state of the multiverse.

The Watchers have been referenced in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 and, more recently, in the final season of What If…?

Consequently, them playing a larger role in the MCU isn’t shocking. That being said, it demonstrates how much deeper into Marvel’s lore the cinematic side of the franchise intends to go.

With Robert Downey Jr. returning, albeit as Doctor Doom rather than Tony Stark, theories suggest that Doom and The Watchers will clash in some way.

Even though the MCU’s Joe Russo is keeping information about Downey’s return close to the chest, Russo is undeniably excited about the upcoming story and how it factors into the MCU as a whole.

“Why would we come back if we didn't feel like we had a story that had that possibility of being on an equal footing with Infinity War and Endgame unless there's a kernel there for an idea that's really explosive?” the director purportedly said.

Steadily, the MCU fandom is piecing together these scraps of information we’re being fed.

While that’s all well and good, we hope more teasers are shared before Avengers: Doomsday’s slated release in May 2026.
