In a comparison we never thought we would see, the future of the Harry Potter franchise is expected to mirror that of Batman’s.

So much so, one Warner Bros. head believes fans will one day be asking each other, “What Harry are you?”, as the franchise expands.

All of this, of course, relates to the upcoming Harry Potter show which will be airing on HBO some time in 2026.

Expected to be a “remake” of sorts, the television adaptation is expected to last for seven seasons with each season representing one book in the J.K Rowling series.

This can only mean one thing, Warner Bros. has plans for the magical franchise to have longevity which is why it has recently been compared to the Batman series.

This comparison comes from Robert Oberschelp, Warner Bros. Discovery’s head of global consumer products, who says there will be many incarnations of Harry Potter.

So much so, in an interview with Variety, Oberschelp says fans will be asking each other, “Which Harry are you?”, in the future.

Quite bizarre but also not surprising.

Not only that but David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, also spoke on the upcoming television adaptation.

“We have known for some time that fans are looking for more things in this world, and so we’re spending a lot of time thinking about that. Our insights tell us that there are not huge distinctions between a younger version of a fan and an older version of a fan. They’re just deep ‘Harry Potter’ fans, and we try to build authentic experiences to delight them.”

So it seems as though Daniel Radcliffe will be the Harry Potter of our generation but not necessarily the future generations.

It is a bizarre thought but good news for hardcore fans, especially if this HBO show is a hit.
