Harry Potter fans are heartbroken learning of the fate of George Weasley’s life following The Deathly Hallows.
Apart from providing some of the best tales of a generation of good vs evil between the wholesome residents of the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and Lord Voldemort’s Death Eaters, the Harry Potter franchise is rich with lovable characters that fans grew attached to over the years.

Following the epic battle in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the likes of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley seemingly went on to live somewhat peaceful lives. Well, in comparison to all the chaos they encountered prior to the demise of Lord Voldemort.

In fact, Harry went on to marry Ron’s sister, Ginny, and Hermione married Ron. But what of the other two popular Weasley siblings, the twin duo of George and Fred?
Before I proceed, I will be mentioning spoilers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, in particular, what happened to Fred Weasley, so you have been warned.
Fred Weasley dies. However, while the intentions were likely pure, it all gets a bit weird how George honours his dead brother.
George not only marries his apparent dead brother's girlfriend, Angelina Johnson but they also name their son Fred. They also had a daughter named Roxanna but as far as I can tell, she’s not named after any dead sisters with whom her parents had a relationship.

“Is it just me or is George's outcome after the epilogue a little awkward?” asked Redditor AllMyUsernamesAreBad. “He marries his dead twin's ex-girlfriend and names one of the children after said brother... I get that it could've been what Fred wanted but it's still really awkward.”

“Taking into consideration real life, there are plenty of times when widows of close friends or even family find love in each other out of shared experiences,” replied a Reddit user. “Grief and the longing for the memories of their deceased loved ones to carry on can be a huge catalyst for people to find love in one another.”
“They went to one school dance together. Hardly his widow,” Real-Mouse-554 corrected.
“Just because she was Fred's partner at the Yule Ball, Angelina was never Fred's girlfriend based on how much we're told. I know it may push in that direction but also Ginny wasn't Neville's girlfriend either,” replied another user.
“I thought that Angelina was Freddie's girlfriend but then I thought over and realised that maybe there wasn't any romantic relationship between them. They are just very close friends? Just a little guess,” said EllaTessyMa.

“This reminds me of the ending of Pearl Harbor, where Josh Hartnett’s character dies, and Ben Affleck ends up with Kate Beckinsale, who had Josh Hartnett's child, and they name him after Josh Hartnett’s character,” recalled leese216.
It will be interesting to see how relationships develop or perhaps even change in the upcoming Harry Potter reboot TV series from HBO. A release date hasn't been announced yet but its launch could be a couple of years away, at least.
We’ll keep you posted as soon as the Harry Potter release date drops.
