I hate to say it, but Fallout just simply isn’t Bethesda’s main focus right now.
We’re all itching to get our hands on Fallout 5, and I’m sure developers are aware of that but so too do they have a lot on their plates at the present moment.
Later today, Starfield’s first full story expansion, Shattered Space, is set to launch - and I doubt that’s the last of the game’s post-launch support.

Plenty of devs will still be beavering away on that game, with the vast majority hard at work on the studio’s next major release, The Elder Scrolls VI.
It’s been six years since the game was announced, and we have no idea how development is progressing.
It’s believed that a version of it is playable internally, but that’s about the extent of the information that’s surfaced.
It’s widely assumed that The Elder Scrolls VI is still several years away from release, putting Fallout 5 in the far future.

In the meantime though, a substitute Fallout release is certain to keep our fires burning.
ICYMI: We played snog, marry, irradiate with the cast of Prime Video’s Fallout. Take a look below.
Prime Video’s Fallout is easily one of the best game adaptations out there, up on the pedestal with the likes of The Last of Us.

It’s no surprise that the Emmy-nominated show quickly secured a season two renewal.
Well, while that second season is still a long way off, fans are already counting down.
“Only one year and six months until season two. Yes, I’m counting,” wrote Reddit user Head-Airline6273.
I can hardly blame them. I’m keen to see Lucy, Maximus, and the Ghoul back in action.

“This two year cycle to create eight episodes s**t gotta stop,” added louiscamus and while I agree, it’s better than the 10 to 15 year cycle we’re inevitably going to have between Fallout 4 and Fallout 5 by the looks of it.
“Not that far away when you think about it, it'll be here before you know it,” added a very optimistic ScarXV.
“Honestly that’s fine, just make it good and take your time,” wrote Least_Inflation_3725.
I want to make it clear that Prime Video hasn’t announced a launch date for season two so Head-Airline6273’s countdown is a tad premature.

That being said, I would say a 2026 target is likely as Prime Video took two years between the first and second season of The Rings of Power.
It’s hard to specify beyond that but at the end of the day, it’s something to look forward to and that’s what we’re all after.
