Now a month on and it seems as though The Witcher 4 is not the only thing to be excited about as Dark Horse has revealed that a brand-new Witcher comic is on the way.
The Witcher: The Bear and the Butterfly is the next instalment in the collaboration between Dark Horse and CD Projekt RED and will be penned by Simon Spurrier and illustrated by Stephen Green.
Set to release on 23 April, 2025, The Bear and the Butterfly is available to pre-order now with the synopsis reading as follows:
“Geralt travels to a remote town where a vampire is rumored to be killing the townspeople. The bounty has amassed all manner of monster hunters—and among them is another witcher, from the school of the Bear, a fierce competitor for the reward.”

With Geralt having to go up against a fellow Witcher, the stakes will be pretty high and it seems as though fans of the comic book series are looking forward to yet another one of his adventures.
Taking to r/wiedzmin, one user asked if The Witcher comic books were worth it, as a fan of the games.
Idarran_of_Ulivo replied: “As a Witcher fan, 100%. They feel like [The Witcher 3] sidequests, and I love the different artists' influences.
I don't read too many other comics, so I can't tell you if they hold up in that regard.”

DonJohnsonFrmMiami added: “Some of them I enjoy, some of them I don’t.
They’re not necessary but if you’re a huge Witcher fan I think they’re fun enough to justify purchasing a couple of them.”
