The Elder Scrolls VI trailer dropped six years ago and it’s still no closer to release, with fans understandably upset.
Why on Earth Bethesda thought it was a good idea to drop a teaser trailer so long ago to provide no updates is beyond me. Even the newly announced Indiana Jones game couldn’t take away from the fact it’s been six years since we last saw The Elder Scrolls VI and even then, it was just a brief teaser.
That being said you should absolutely check out Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Luckily, now that Starfield is out of the way, development on the next Elder Scrolls game is the next priority for the folks at Bethesda, and will be followed by Fallout 5. It’s believed both titles will be exclusive to the Xbox, and Bethesda exec Todd Howard is convinced it’ll keep fans occupied for several years to come, which sounds like it’ll be a true Skyrim successor.

That hasn’t stopped fans from lamenting how long it’ll take to get there though, as a Reddit post by cintatidakhilang drew attention to just how long it’s been since we got that initial teaser.
Fans couldn’t help but joke about the long wait, with one saying, “The day we get The Elder Scrolls VI is the day Alduin comes back and eats the world.”
Someone even said there’s a fan in the comments section for the teaser trailer who’s “commented every day for the last five years”. Now that’s some dedication.
Overall, the optimism wasn’t high, one commenter even hit us with the cold, hard facts and said we all need to “get used to it” because we’ll have nothing but the teaser trailer for the next five years. Hopefully that isn’t true but you never know these days.
