Hope you’ve got a lot of free time, because the upcoming Steam RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3 will reportedly take 200 hours to complete.
I think we’ve all lost hours of our time to some solid RPGs over the years. Whether it be turn-based like Final Fantasy, story-rich like Elden Ring, or stylish anime titles like Persona 5 Royal, RPGs have a way of pulling you in and keeping you there for weeks at a time.
The Baldur’s Gate series is no different, and will be receiving a third entry later this year, which promises one of the biggest adventures ever made.

Set to release in August, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a singleplayer/multiplayer title that’ll see players create their own character, and embark on a story set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. Working with friends or NPC, players will have to make careful choices in combat and character interactions in order to survive and progress.
The game’s developers, Larian Studios, recently confirmed that over 200 hours of playtime will be required to complete everything in the game, which is an astonishing amount of time, even for an RPG.
The news was shared in a Reddit thread, shocking and exciting players who can’t wait to create their adventure when the game drops later this year.
“Oh no! I haven't even found the time to finish DS: OS 2 yet”

“My most highly anticipated game this year.”
“God damn, I still haven't to finish divinity 2”
“I’m really excited! I’m not good at these games but hopefully I’ll figure it out, cause this looks great!”
It’s safe to say players will have to put aside a lot of their freetime to see everything Baldur’s Gate 3 has to offer, though given how it's a multiplayer title, the hours are sure to fly by when playing with friends.
That being said, over 200 hours is a monstrous amount of time to beat a game, which is a challenge only the most dedicated gamers are likely to complete.
