Red Dead Redemption 2 New Official Content Available This Week

A big event with some worthwhile rewards

It looks like we're never going to get that Undead Nightmare DLC we were waiting on, or much in the way of single-player extras at all, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is still going strong thanks to its impressive multiplayer mode.

A big part of what's giving it longevity right now is the regular events that Rockstar runs within the community, all of which usually give access to increased currency rewards, as well as new and unusual collectibles to really make your character stand out amongst the many cowfolk out there in Valentine and beyond.

Right now, that's taking the form of the Collector Bonuses event, and there's a ton of things going on that you should be aware of. The time-sensitive headline act is the Capture Series, which is set to run from 16 September to 22 September.

That's just one of the types of Showdown series on offer over the next few weeks, and it's well worth participating in, with 4x RDO$ and XP available to those who do. If you do manage to come out on top at any point, your character will also receive the Who Me emote.

Also running between 16 September and 22 September, you can add the blue and orange Benbow Jacket to your collection for completing all of your Collector Daily Challenges two days in a row.

Outside of those two weekly activties and rewards, there is a ton of other stuff going on that should give you plenty to do in Red Dead's multiplayer mode over the next few weeks. 3x RDO$, Gold and XP is available for every Free Roam Mission completion and the same reward is available (without the gold bonus) for completing Salvage and Condor Egg Free Roam events.

There is also plenty of returning limited-time clothing to get your hands on, including the Gator Hat, Eberhart Coat, Torranca Coat, Salter Shoes, Cardozo Vest, Darned Stockings and Shaffer Chaps.

Lastly, the community-inspired outfit is available to assemble for free from the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue, which includes the Stalker Hat, Roller Jacket (Male), Loose Patch Coat (Female), Paisley Vest, Collar Overshirt (Male), Doily Shirtwaist (Female), Cuffed Town Pants and Workman’s Boots.

All of the latter is available until 6 October, so make sure to prioritise those weeklies over anything else, before they rotate into the next set of events and your opportunity to earn increased rewards is gone forever.
