A Red Dead Redemption 2 mod adds an entirely new way to play the game, the pursuit of a good, honest day of hard work.
It’s a shame Rockstar Games abandoned Red Dead Redemption 2 as quickly as they did. After a few measly updates to its Red Dead Online mode, the developers basically ditched the game in favour of Grand Theft Auto Online, as well as development for Grand Theft Auto VI.
Luckily, the modding community have been hard at work adding new features and changes players have been wanting to see since the game was released five years ago, with one of the latest mods letting you hang up the revolvers and lassos and pursue a real job instead.

The Jobs – Expanded And Enhanced mod, adds six new jobs to apply for, all of which can be found on job boards in various areas of the game. While previous mods have put players in the role of bounty hunter or Sheriff, this one forgoes the violence, and lets players give back to the in-game community instead.
Players can choose to be a chauffeur, a ranch hand, pest control, wagon protector, postman and finally, a dock worker. All have their own unique playstyles, such as transporting and protecting a wagon full of passengers from one part of the map to another, fending off the various animals found in the game, or simply delivering people’s mail.
While they’re not as glamorous as hunting down various criminals, or getting rich through ill-gotten gains, it’s a nice change of pace, especially towards the end of the game when there’s not a lot to do outside of main missions, side quests and collectables.

In other news, a Red Dead Redemption remake is the talk of the town at the moment, with a lot of speculation as to if it exists and when it’ll be coming out. There are also growing concerns that it’ll be a remaster akin to the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy- Definitive Edition, a remaster of three classic GTA titles that somehow made them worse.
