Red Dead Redemption 2 fans think John Marston may not actually be Jack’s real dad, a revelation that simply can’t be true can it?
The Red Dead Redemption cast includes some of the most compelling characters to ever grace a video game. Arthur Morgan and Jack Marston are especially cherished, especially since the two share a strong bond with Arthur being a bit of a mentor to John.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is still one of the greatest games ever made, and if you haven’t played it yet you’re missing out
The mantle is eventually passed to John’s son Jack Marston in Red Dead Redemption, which is the latest game in the timeline despite releasing before Red Dead Redemption 2.

However it turns out there are some people out there who don’t believe Jack is actually John's son…somehow.
Reddit user Jazzlike-Release-918 kicked off a discussion about the possibility, saying: “ I know Abigail is a great woman and deserves Jack. But I read that she used to be a prostitute. And after the gang rescues her, she got involved with most of the gang members sexually.
They go on to explain: “And this is my theory, after the epilogue Jack constantly brings up Arthur. When Jack and John go fishing, he remembers Arthur took him fishing. It might be farfetched. What do you think? If not Arthur, who is this boy's father?”
Stranger developments have happened, but this isn’t one other fans could get behind as one commenter followed it up saying: “The answer is simple, it's John. John is Jack's Father” before explaining how everything fits together.

It was a neat theory, but one that doesn’t quite work given the evidence we have so far, and in the end it’s meaningless anyway because it’s unlikely we’ll ever see Jack Marston again in another game.
