Despite being released over five years ago, Red Dead Redemption 2 still has a lot of secrets to uncover including one that adds a horrifying zombie secret that we guarantee you probably missed.

With hundreds of hours of content, Red Dead Redemption 2 has kept fans occupied for the past five-plus years. From the ability to duel with just about anyone to a mysterious woman at your campfire, the Rockstar title is still surprising players to this day. Now to top the discoveries off, players can find a startling discovery at the bottom of a random well once they have completed the main story.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer below!

To find this Easter egg, you will have to head to a well located in an abandoned town near the Trapper in Tall Trees (you can find it here). Once you have located the well, head to the bottom of it where you will find a lockbox. However, the lockbox isn’t the most important thing as when you turn off your light and rotate your camera to face John Marston, he looks a bit different.

That’s right, John has a new zombie-fied appearance which has led players to believe Rockstar had plans for Red Dead Redemption 2 Undead Nightmare. Undead Nightmare was a standalone expansion for Red Dead Redemption, which despite being popular, is yet to be remade for the sequel. However, it’s never too late and fans would be glad to see it making a return to Red Dead Redemption 2.

Other players believe this is just a reference to John and Arthur being “dead men walking” and a hint at their fates whilst most are still holding out hope for the Undead Nightmare expansion. Either way, it is a cool little Easter egg that would be easily missed by the majority of players.

In related Red Dead Redemption 2 news, fans still agree that no other game has come close to offering a similar experience.
