Red Dead Redemption 2 free download announced for Valentine's Day

February is officially in full swing and amongst some incredible AAA game releases, there is one event slowly sneaking forward.

Luckily for me, I can ignore this day and everything it entails but for some people, it is a day to spend time with your loved ones.

If you are with me in the first category then we can also celebrate as Red Dead Redemption 2 has a free download that we can take advantage of.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Rockstar Games is giving Red Dead Online players, the game's online mode, the chance to model across the Frontier with a brand-new cosmetic.

Not only that but they can shoot an arrow into the heart of their crush and although this may actually kill them, the thought was there.

Available from 11 February to 17, booting up Red Dead Online will reward players with the lovely pink Irwin Coat.

Additionally, you can earn yourself 50 tracking arrows and an offer for 50% off an Improved Bow by taking part and completing the Love and Honor Mission.

As with any major Red Dead Online event, there are both weekly and monthly rewards to be earned as well as bonuses on all Bounty Missions, 3x Gold and XP on A Land of Opportunities Missions, and of course, some Valentine’s Day related cosmetics.

If you are more into cosmetics, there are more ways to earn some limited-time items.

By participating in any of the monthly activities, you could bag yourself the Gator Hat, Porter Jacket, Chambliss Corset, Hitched Skirt, and Carbow Double Bandolier.

Take your other half out on a date in Red Dead Online and make sure you look the part with these easily earned items.
