Twitch streamer Pokimane is one of the most popular entertainers on the platform. With almost 9 million followers, she is in the top ten most followed creators on the site. However, being popular often comes at a price. She was banned from Twitch in January for streaming herself watching episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender. She also got hate raided in the same month by Jidion, and a weird string of events ended up with Ninja's wife threatening legal action.
Those in to streaming can check out some of the funniest live stream moments in the video below.
Even just this month YouTuber TheQuartering, threatened to take the streamer to court for issuing take down notices for his video featuring her clips. With a 2022 that stressful, you'd think taking home a few awards would do a lot to cheer you up. However, Pokimane has now asked fans not to vote for her in The Streamer Awards saying "You guys can go vote for everybody except me."

In a clip found by Dexerto, the streamer talks about how she doesn't like talking about awards and how she thinks it's more "hype" if newcomers win the awards. "I think it's more hype when people get like their first award or whatever. And, I dunno... I have always felt weird promoting award shows. Since I won the Shorty Awards, I kinda just stopped promoting award shows."
She was however grateful and humbled by the nominations. "Thank you so much for the nominations on QT's (QTCinderella who hosts The Streamer Awards) award show, I didn't really talk about it much yesterday - but I do appreciate it a lot. But yeah I am flattered that anybody voted for me so thank you. But really, you don't need to."
The Streamer Awards feature 27 different categories, with four streamers nominated for each. Pokimane is nominated in two categories; Best Valorant Streamer, and the Legacy Award for a person who has "shaped the streaming industry".
