To celebrate its third anniversary, Pokémon Unite is introducing a legendary creature to the game as part of the upcoming celebration events.

Released back in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch and Android/iOS, Pokémon UNITE is a free-to-play, multiplayer online battle arena title developed by TiMi Studio Group.

As part of the long-running and much-loved Pokémon franchise, this title is just one of many games which sees players capture creatures and use them to fight in battle.

Now to celebrate its third anniversary, this first strategic team battle game will be introducing Legendary Pokémon Ho-oh to its roster.

As a ranged defender, Ho-oh has the ability to recover lost HP over time as long as it doesn’t take further damage from opponents in the limited timeframe.

As well as its Regenerator ability, Ho-oh can also use Rekindling Flame, its Unite Move which allows it to consume all of its energy to revive knocked-out allies.

Additionally, the more energy it consumes, the more allies it can revive.

During the Ho-Oh Commemorative event, players will also be able to participate in multiple in-game events including Panic Parade Revival.

This tower defence mode will task you with protecting Tinkaton from waves of attacking Pokémon.

Furthermore, each day of the event will reward players with one free die.

Rolling the die will allow you to move forward on the game board and allow you to complete missions to earn further dice.

Fans of Charizard are also in luck as Charizard Unite License Distribution runs through to 2 September.

Taking part in this will give you the chance to get your hands on a Charizard hat, Unite license and 100 Aeos coins.

Pokémon UNITE is available on the App Store, Google Play, and Nintendo Switch.
