Xbox fans are already losing their minds over the next-generation hardware following a recent tease on social media.
Earlier this week, Microsoft announced a multi-year partnership with PC hardware tech company AMD to help develop its next-gen console, other hardware such as handheld devices, as well as cloud support for its Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
“Next-level performance, cutting-edge graphics, breakthrough gameplay, and unmatched compatibility. Stay tuned for what’s next,” read the tweet featuring a video with Xbox president, Sarah Bond.
It’s always an exciting time knowing that the next-gen consoles are just around the corner, whether it’s an Xbox home console or the recently announced Steam Deck competitor the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X from ASUS.

Understandably, fans are hyped, and so are we!
“No one is even talking about how she said ’not locked to a single store’,” replied TheTrueDH, suggesting how easy it will be to access our games, regardless of the Xbox platform.
“Consumer friendly, revolutionary and preparing for the future,” said StaticZWarZ. “I’m glad Xbox will be continuing to make consoles.”
“I can't wait! I'm looking forward to what's next from Xbox,” tweeted QMerkson.

“THINGS YOU LOVE TO SEE!” yelled CrazyTeddy.
“Don't forget the disc drive,” declared QuickBrickGames, reminding Xbox that gamers still want physical media in an ever-progressing digital world.
There is currently no release date for the next-gen Xbox console, but it might be safe to assume that it’s a couple of years away, at least.
As for the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X, they’re both scheduled to be released at some point later this year.

I can’t wait to play the next-gen Halo and Gears of War, so if someone could lend me a Flux Capacitor today, that would be great. Thanks.
We’ll keep you posted when Microsoft drops new information on what’s next for Xbox hardware.
