Recent rumours in the industry are pointing to Microsoft happily shipping their legacy franchises over to PlayStation.
Industry insiders are claiming that both Halo and Gears of War are scheduled to appear on the rival console after decades of exclusivity to Xbox, and it seems fans are unhappy with the news.
Everything is an Xbox. Maybe even your PlayStation.
The news comes as a shock, despite Microsoft saying for many months that they want to expand the Xbox brand beyond their own hardware.

Some fans aren’t taking the news well.
“If PlayStation gets Gears before PC gets a Gears Collection I'm crashing out lmao,” laughs one Redditor.
It appears that Reddit moderators are deleting and closing threads on the Xbox subreddit discussing the news.
“The Xbox sub is not going to like this for the 10 minutes the discussion isn’t censored,” comments ninjupX, “They’ve deleted several today because “constant negativity” is against the rules”, they continue.

One user notes, “Talking about censorship, I can't find a single thread on all these recent leaks/rumors of PS5 ports on r/Xbox.”
While some are happy that franchises will now get more players, others aren’t excited that exclusivity is ending - it’s an unprecedented move, if it turns out to be true.
“Too bad my 500+ owned games and saves won’t transfer to PlayStation when Xbox hardware inevitably goes belly up. Feels bad man,” says SoldierPhoenix.
Some fans aren’t seeing much point in supporting Microsoft any longer, with one saying, “I'll likely skip the next Xbox entirely, just don't see a point when I can get a PS6 and get everything.”

This would make sense. If Xbox becomes more of a publisher, many will jump ship for PlayStation and get the best of both worlds.
For now, we have to take this with a pinch of salt, but hey, everything is an Xbox, right?
