It looks like subscribers of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass are going to be treated to some absolute bangers this August.
Whether it’s Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus, players can enjoy a plethora of video games at a relatively low cost with each having regularly updated libraries. The cost of each service in most cases, is a lot lower than the price of a single fully-priced AAA video game.

Already, Microsoft has revealed some of the offerings included in Xbox Game Pass this month which includes the likes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, as well as benefits for the popular free-to-play shooter Valorant, offering day-one access to new Agents, XP boosts and more.

Now, we’ve learned of the other titles coming to Xbox Game Pass. Those newly announced titles are Creatures of Ava (available now), Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (8 August) and Mafia: Definitive Edition (13 August).
- Creatures of Ava: “Let your empathy guide you as you play an exciting action-adventure, creature-saver game. Understand and tame the creatures of Ava and let them lead you through a variety of ecosystems – all in the hopes of saving the planet from a life-consuming infection.”
- Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy: “Spin, jump, wump and repeat as you take on the epic challenges and adventures through the three games that started it all, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. Relive all your favourite Crash moments in their fully-remastered graphical glory and get ready to put some umph in your wump!”
- Mafia Definitive Edition “is a cinematic third-person shooter that tells the story of Tommy Angelo, a hardworking cab driver who becomes embedded in the brutal world of organised crime in 1930s America.”
Having already played Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Mafia: Definitive Edition, Creatures of Ava is a new game that I’m very tempted to check out on Xbox Game Pass this month.
