If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber but don’t know what to play next, then this open-world zombie adventure game may just take your fancy.
First released back in 2013, DayZ is a multiplayer only survival game developed by Bohemia Interactive.
Check out a cinematic from DayZ below!
The standalone game is based on the mod with the same name for Arma 2 and sees players placed in the fictional post-Soviet Republic of Chernarus.

Players must combat a mysterious plague that has turned most of the population into the “infected” so as well as fighting them, they must also scavenge for supplies and cooperate with other players in order to survive the pandemic.
DayZ sold over three million copies during its early access period and has remained a well-received zombie survival game since then.
Now it is free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers and you may be interested to hear that its map is over six times larger than the one found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
With Skyrim offering one of the most jam-packed maps of all time, it is hard to believe that DayZ greatly overshadows it but it just goes to show the scope of this multiplayer action title.

“The dense 163 km2 map lets players experience the hardcore survival hit in a whole new environment,” the Xbox synopsis reads.
“Players can put their survival skills to the test by venturing into the unfamiliar land of Livonia, and seeing just how long they can last in this deadlier-than-ever world.”
If you are unsure whether or not to resubscribe to the Xbox Game Pass, DayZ would be £45.99 to buy outright.
So, it’s a pretty big non-brainer.
