It’s often brought into question whether a video game should be pre-ordered with constant talk of investors thirsty for those pre-order numbers which in many ways is at the detriment of a developer required to meet highly pressured release dates.
For me, I only tend to pre-order if there’s a collector’s edition that I really want. However, publishers may also try to entice gamers by offering free pre-order bonuses that may or not be available after a launch day, such as the upcoming Xbox game, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead.
Check out the A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead trailer below!
Inspired by the A Quiet Place movies, The Road Ahead is adapted for video game media, and its developers, Stormind Games will be hoping that it will offer plenty of scares with its hide-and-seek formula.

“In this exclusive spin-off, experience the journey of a young woman who must endure a treacherous apocalypse in the midst of interpersonal family conflicts, all while coming to terms with her own inner fears,” reads the synopsis of A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead.
The aforementioned pre-order bonus, which is available across all available platforms, include:
- Hospital care package containing two catteries and three inhalers
- Access to 10 exclusive concept art collectibles
- Exclusive creature animation showcase
Usually, pre-order bonuses are attached to the purchase of a game (or whenever it is dispatched), however, Reddit users have noticed that you can “buy” the pre-order bonus now for free. That being said, some users on the thread have been charged a small tax fee, so please keep that in mind.

Regardless, if you fancy buying A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead at some point but not at launch, it’s quite handy to claim this pre-order DLC now to be used at a later date.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will be released on 17 October 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S as well as compatible iOS and Android devices.
