Progress in the development of The Elder Scrolls VI should make fans happy, but they’re too disillusioned to enjoy the milestones being made.
Who can blame them – they’ve been waiting a ridiculously long time for this new Elder Scrolls adventure, and there’s still years of waiting to endure.
Having been announced way too soon by Bethesda, the intended release date is leaving fans annoyed and prone to slamming every decision the developers make.

As if its “frustrating” launch window isn’t distressing enough, there’s the divisive nature of the first game leaks leaving the fandom underwhelmed and concerned.
Consequently, when a job for The Elder Scrolls VI shows up online, fans use humour to voice their ire at being forced to wait.

The job description offers nothing of note, simply referencing information we already know after following the development of this game for years. Years.
“It still exists,” commented Redditor Keepcalmplease17, “That’s a relief.”
If you’d prefer a concise summary of the job listing, with just a hint of bitterness, Snifflebeard is ready, “What we just learned: They are working on it. Gosh.”
Notice how no one is exactly thrilled by this job listing.

It’s no wonder, then, that a major milestone in The Elder Scrolls VI’s development was recently achieved and we all turned a blind eye.
We’re disenchanted. We’re fed up. We’re bored.
“So, nothing new... man, what an update!” joked another, once again demonstrating how little everyone cares.
Unless it's the first trailer, which, sadly, is a long way off, they don’t want to know. And we don’t blame them.

Although it’s not “earth shattering news”, we take solace in some kind of progress taking place, even if it feels like it’s happening at a snail’s pace.
