New Xbox hardware appears online ahead of official reveal

An old accessory in a new form

New Xbox hardware has been leaked online ahead of its official reveal, and no it’s not a new controller, thank God.

We all know Xbox likes making new controllers, and special edition consoles that you can’t just buy normally, but later this month it’ll be sharing a new piece of hardware that’s a much needed revision on an old product.

The new Indiana Jones game launches this December, check out the trailer below

So what is this mystery product that Xbox is wanting us to see? Apparently it’s an updated version of the official headset.

As someone who owns this headset myself I’d highly recommend it to those who primarily play on Xbox, as I’ve owned it since its launch and it’s yet to fail me, touch wood.

That being said the headset launched in 2021, and while that wasn’t too long ago technology has advanced since then, so it makes sense why the company would want to refresh it.

It makes even more sense when Xbox’x biggest competitor, PlayStation, has a more advanced wireless headset and wireless earbuds to match.

While none can confirm what the new headset will look like, it’s believed it’ll sport a new design compared to its predecessor and will obviously coat more as a result, though it’s unconfirmed if it’ll be a technically superior product or roughly the same.

It wouldn’t be surprising if there were a couple of limited-edition versions of the headset produced as well, to go with all the new controllers that have been coming out recently.

So if you’re in the market for a new official headset and prefer first-party products over third-party, this upgrade might be for you.

It’s said the headset will launch sometime in October or November this year, so keep an eye out for the announcement.
