Not only will the upcoming Xbox handheld allow you to play your favourite Xbox titles on the go, but it will reportedly make it possible to run some of PlayStation’s most beloved first-party games.
The ROG Xbox Ally was announced at last week’s Xbox Games Showcase and will be the latest handheld console on the market to rival that of the Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation Portal.
As well as allowing users the chance to play Xbox games on the go, it seems as though the ROG Xbox Ally will also be able to run some first-party PlayStation games.

That means that for the first time titles such as The Last of Us, Uncharted, and God of War could be available on Xbox.
Basically, if the first-party PlayStation game has received a PC port, it will be accessible on the ROG Xbox Ally.
This news comes courtesy of Game File which recently interviewed a Microsoft representative about if titles such as God of War will be available on the brand-new handheld.
The rep replied, “Because these handhelds run Windows, you have access to all the games you can play on Windows PCs.”

Put simply, titles such as The Last of Us Part I and II, God of War, God of War Ragnarök, Horizon Forbidden West, and the three Spider-Man titles from Insomniac Games will be accessible on Xbox for the first time.
If you only own these titles on PlayStation, you will need to purchase them again on PC to be able to access them on the ROG Xbox Ally but this would be quite a good investment if you can play them on the go.
The ROG Xbox Ally is set to launch later this year so let us hope it provides some healthy competition to the handhelds that are already on the market.
