Although the exact release date for The Elder Scrolls VI is still unknown, predictions about its launch window have stunned fans.

Besides the fandom's sheer determination to find any and all possible clues pertaining to The Elder Scrolls VI, official news about the game has been difficult to come by.

Ever since players first explored Skyrim, they’ve been waiting for the next game.

Then, when Bethesda revealed a teaser for the next chapter in 2018, everyone hoped a new adventure was coming sooner than expected.

Sadly, we were wrong. Dead wrong.

We’ve since been told to lower expectations by a Bethesda veteran after they claimed The Elder Scrolls VI can’t possibly deliver the game we’re envisioning.

Now, in the wake of such claims, fans are experiencing a revelation of sorts as they work out the “incredible” release date of the game.

When Majestic_Banana789 asked if the next title would “require a new console”, fellow Redditor BlackFleetCaptain said, “It’s crazy how we’re about to go two full console generations without a mainline Elder Scrolls game. F**king incredible actually.”

Upon seeing this, fans started to joke that they hope they'd live long enough to see The Elder Scrolls VI launch.

“Just hope I can live long enough to play it (I’m 29),” remarked the OP.

While it’s unlikely that they’ll kick the bucket before it releases, we’re all going to be much older by the time it drops.

It’s quite the bitter pill to swallow after waiting so long.

Yet, despite being stunned by how long we have to wait, and the new hardware that will come and go first, fans are still eating up rumours.

One mysterious teaser in particular has them nothing short of obsessed as they try to work out if it’s a hint about the setting of the game.

As frustrated as we get, we'll never stop talking about this game.
