Combining the open-world exploration of The Witcher with the combat of Assassin’s Creed, this upcoming action-adventure RPG is certainly one to have on your radar.

Set to launch on 14 November as a free-to-play title, Where Winds Meet is an open-world action-adventure RPG set in ancient China during the 10th century.

Developed by Everstone Studio, Where Winds Meet has nods to some incredible RPGs such as The Witcher 3 and Assassin’s Creed to bring us an epic saga of a young sword master.

As they embark on a journey to uncover their identity, they will stumble across forgotten truths and travel across land, sea and air to build their very own legend.

“Explore China's Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, where political intrigue, power struggles, and epic battles shape the course of history,” the official Steam synopsis for Where Winds Meet reads.

“From the bustling heart of the imperial capital to the hidden corners of forgotten wilderness, every path is layered with secrets, sights, and stories waiting to be discovered.

Who are you — a hero, or an agent of chaos?”

However, with every action having consequences, you will be able to cause chaos, defy the law, face bounties and even find yourself behind bars or take a more honest route by helping villagers, forging alliances and being a symbol of joy in a world torn apart by chaos and destruction.

In Where Winds Meet, you will wander across a land of infinite possibilities from bustling cities to forgotten temples and even emerald forests where time and even the weather can affect your experience.

Much like Assassin’s Creed, you will be able to implement parkour to scale rooftops and cover miles in an instant and this will be a must-have with Where Winds Meet featuring over 20 distinct regions.

It is in this sprawling open-world where you will need to master Wuxia combat, a responsive martial art which will see you wield swords, spears, dual blades, glaives, fans and even umbrellas.

Whether you take on brutal melee combat or stick to the shadows and take out your enemies in darkness, it is entirely up to you.

In Where Winds Meet, you will be able to embark on over 150 hours of solo gameplay or even team up with up to four friends in seamless co-op.

With group activities to embark on - from multiplayer dungeons to epic raids - you will find yourself in an ever-changing world filled with thousands of adventurers.

Where Winds Meet is set to release on PlayStation 5 and PC on 14 November and will be free-to-play so if you are interested in this exciting new RPG, make sure to add it to your ever-growing wishlist now.
