It’s a busy ol’ month for games.
Astro Bot, Age of Mythology: Retold, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and Lollipop Chainsaw RePop have already all landed, with Throne and Liberty, The Plucky Squire, Enotria: The Last Song, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom just a few of the games releasing very soon.
With that in mind, it might be time to give your wallet a break - a little breather, if you will.

Well, PC users can do just that by picking up the totally free The Depths of Avalon, a new co-op dungeon crawler.
“Join Arthur and Merlin in The Depths of Avalon, a cooperative top-down dungeon crawler where you solve puzzles and battle enemies to thwart the dark plans of Morgan La Fey,” teases the game's synopsis.
ICYMI: Astro Bot is out now. Take a look at the game in action below.
If you hadn’t gathered, yes, The Depths of Avalon is inspired by Arthurian legends, with the game’s narrative blending “myth with interactive gameplay”.

It’s always nice to support indie developers but especially so in this instance.
The Depths of Avalon was created by 16 second-year students at the Butler Community College - and clearly, they’re a talented bunch.
It’s always nice to champion the talent of tomorrow that’ll one day, hopefully, lead the industry forwards.
The Depths of Avalon features its fair share of puzzle solving for you to do as well as tackling the various creatures and bosses that dwell in the game’s dungeons.

It’s totally free to play on Steam as I mentioned, and it’s proving popular with players.
“Very fun two-player puzzle solving,” one reviewer wrote.
“Good game. Would fall to my death again,” said another - which I can only presume to be a compliment.
When a game is free, you may as well give it a whirl.

One user calls The Depths of Avalon a “short nice game” so you should be able to squeeze it in alongside the month’s larger releases.
I will warn you though, it’s controller support only - so no mouse and keyboard.
