Steam makes underrated game free for 24 more hours

Perfect game to close out Pride Month with

Pride month may be coming to an end but that does not mean that we can’t spend the rest of the year enjoying games that explore the lives and stories of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Well, that is easier to do than ever thanks to Steam and Xbox which are giving players the chance to dive into one such story for absolutely free.

Available until 1 July, PC and Xbox gamers can download Tell Me Why.

Developed by DONTNOD Entertainment, Tell Me Why was first released back in 2020 as an episodic adventure game consisting of three chapters overall.

Now multi-award winning, in Tell Me Why, players will follow the story of a set of twins who use their supernatural bond to discover the truth behind their troubled past.

“Tell Me Why is the latest narrative adventure game from DONTNOD Entertainment, the studio behind the beloved franchise, Life is Strange,” the official Steam synopsis reads.

“In this intimate mystery, reunited twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan use their supernatural bond to unravel the memories of their loving but troubled childhood. Set in beautiful small-town Alaska, Tell Me Why features true-to-life characters, mature themes and gripping choices.”

In typical DONTNOD fashion, players will have to make a series of choices throughout the game which can drastically change branching storylines.

Not only that but Tell Me Why’s Tyler is transgender and his identity plays a heartwarming role throughout the story which makes this the perfect game to close out Pride Month with.

As mentioned, all three chapters of Tell Me Why are now available for free on Xbox and Steam. You can find the full version of the game on the Xbox Store whilst the Steam iteration is split between the three individual downloadable chapters.

Once you have downloaded them, they are yours to keep forever so make sure you grab them before 1 July.
