Valve’s digital storefront is a gold mine for game demos, perfect for when you’d rather try before you buy, so here are seven Steam demos I’d recommend you give a go.

First up is Powerwash Simulator, the ultimate cosy game to relax and unwind too. The premise is simple, you go from level to level of areas in need of a deep clean and spray it till it’s spotless.

There’s a lot of content in this one and even some DLC expansions so it’s worth checking out if you like a more relaxed gaming experience.

Midnight Murder Club is an excellent party game to play with friends, as it throws you all into a pitch-black mansion armed with a revolver and flashlight, last man standing wins.

It also has proximity chat to make hunting or hiding even more exhilarating, so definitely give this one a go if you play online a lot.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is one for the anime fans, as it retells the story of Dragon Ball Z in the most comprehensive deep-dive yet.

Combat leaves a bit to be desired but the immersion and exploration makes up for it, it’s worth a go.

Ultrakill is a personal favourite of mine, as it’s a fast-paced shooter where bloodshed restores your health and that’s about the only thing that makes any sort of sense, please try it.

Fantasian Neo Dimension is an interesting RPG reminiscent of the old-school Final Fantasy games, while I didn’t quite vibe with it in the end it might be your cup of tea.

As someone who hadn’t played a Dynasty Warriors game before Dynasty Warriors Origins was an absolute blast.

With a more fleshed out story, the same gameplay you’ll know and love, it’s worth a go while it’s free-to-play.

Last but not least a Game Of The Year contender that unfortunately didn’t walk away with the award, Metaphor ReFantazio.

The prologue of the game is available to play now and progress carries through to the main game, please, please, please give it a go.
