Looking for something new to play this weekend that doesn’t break the bank?
Then you, my friend, have come to the right place.
Four new free-to-play games have landed on Steam, as reported by SteamGamesPC, and I’m here to guide you through them.

The first is California Escapades from Nuts Power Online Entertainment.
In this simulation adventure game, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Gold Rush era California.
Assuming the roles of Jim and Emma, it’s up to you to build your own farmstead, collecting treasures, planting crops, and raising livestock as you go.
In its ‘Very Positive’ reviews, players praise the game’s cosy nature although warned that there are microtransactions involved.

If third-person shooters are more your thing, solo developer HAJ has launched Agents of Spleef.
The goal is simple: die the least amount of times to win.
ICYMI: Astro Bot is getting free DLC later this year. Don’t miss out on this GOTY contender.
For the hack n’ slash fans, you may want to check out Hypno Games’ Mythic Trials.

You can choose to play either battle royale-style PvP rounds or co-op PvE rounds, making use of “Diablo-like” items.
The game boasts unlimited access to every mode, the ability to “reach the top of the ladder without paying a cent”, and a Draft Mode for those looking for an extra challenge.
It’s already got a review score of 90% from players on Steam.
Finally, we end with 2D platformer Mind Weaver which is the game that’s secured my interest.

Developed by Mambo, this one’s part platformer, part dungeon crawler.
You play as a mage who wakes up in a goblin-infested dungeon where you’re able to manipulate the minds of the creatures you stumble across.
You’ll need to solve puzzles, dodge enemies, and pull off some impressive parkour - and it’s been made by a solo developer.
All of these titles are available now for free.
