In what can only be described as the strangest mash-up I’ve ever seen, there’s a Steam game you can try for free that blends the Wild West with the Prehistoric Era.
Almost perfect timing considering the first trailer for the new Jurassic Park film aired last week, and it actually looks…good?
We've even got a new Jurassic Park game on the way, check it out below.
Next entries in blockbuster film franchises aside, there’s a game on Steam for the dinosaur lovers out there that’ll probably appeal to Red Dead Redemption fans as well.

It’s called Dino Path Trail, but don’t let its name and charming visuals deceive you, it’s not as cosy as you may think.
The game’s description reads: “Journey across a Wild West full of dangers where dinosaurs never faced extinction. Survive the wilderness, battle elements, evade predators, and confront cunning bandits to save your sister. Conquer the untamed frontier, or become prey in this exciting Survival Roguelike!”
Cowboys teaming up with dinosaurs sounds like the cheesiest Hollywood film ever conceived but truth be told, this game sells the idea pretty well.
The idea of raising and taming dinosaurs to help you fight bandits is a neat idea, and if you want to experience that for yourself, you can play the free demo right now.

The full game currently has no release date but it’ll likely launch sometime later this year, hopefully soon as we want to play more.
In other news, there’s still that new Jurassic Park game on the way, Jurassic Park: Survival, which got a reveal trailer over a year ago but nothing since…
The “gameplay” shown seemingly presented it as a first-person horror game, which works really well for a dark island filled with nature’s greatest killing machines.
Hopefully, we see more of that game soon too, especially with the new Jurassic World film on the way and looking promising.
