Sometimes, no matter how great the modern enhancements of video games are, it’s often nice to get a dose of the old-school such as the game that is the topic of today’s discussion.
Before the Fallout series evolved into the goliath that it is today under the Bethesda umbrella with the arrival of 2008’s Fallout 3, it was an isometric RPG but no less charming. It’s unlikely that Bethesda will take the series back to those humble beginnings but thankfully indie developers have us covered.
Check out the Death Trash trailer below!
One such indie developer is Crafting Legends who is also publishing the upcoming RPG on PC that looks to be a treat for old-school Fallout fans, namely Death Trash. As soon as I watched the gameplay trailer for Death Trash, its Fallout inspiration was clear to see in this post-apocalyptic horror game.

“Death Trash features a post-apocalyptic world where cosmic horrors long for humanity but meet punks with shotguns,” reads the description on Steam. “It combines old-school role-playing, modern action gameplay and player freedom. Create your own character and explore a handcrafted world.”
At the time of writing, Death Trash is in its early access phase on Steam priced at £16.99 but if you wanted to try out the game before splashing your hard-earned cash, then you will be pleased to know that you can download and play its free demo right now. What’s more, Death Trash currently has a “Very Positive” rating in its Steam reviews, which provides its own seal of approval.
Death Trash does not have a release date just yet, but hopefully, it will launch on PC at some point this year. As such, a console release has not been announced but I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for a Nintendo Switch launch.
While we wait for its full release be sure to check out its free playable demo and wishlist Death Trash on Steam to be notified of its launch.
