A new game that looks like a mix between Resident Evil 4 and Bloodborne has been announced for Steam
Resident Evil and Bloodborne remain two of the most influential games of all time, so it’s no wonder that new games are taking cues from what they got right.
If you love Resident Evil 4, this one is for you
The Twilight Project from Teapot Studio is one of these games, combining themes and imagery inspired by both of these types of games as well as being inspired by Thai folklore.
Frankly, as a fan of dark, twisted horror stories, this seems right up my alley. From what I’ve seen so far, it looks like it might be a good one to play over Halloween.

“The Twilight Project is a third person survival horror game where you play as a tourist who gets lost in a forgotten village sealed off from the outside world,” reads the official description on the Steam store. “As night falls, strange and terrifying creatures begin to appear, and reality starts to shift into something far darker.
“You’ll need to survive the night, search for clues, and uncover the dark history behind this cursed place. Some secrets should stay buried... but they might be your only way out.”

In addition to being a “cinematic horror experience”, Teapot Studio has also teased a “Day and Night Dimension System”, where you explore the village by day and then hunt deadly creatures at night.
There’ll also be a crafting element to it, where you set up safe zones, lay down traps yourself each night.
Limited resources and unpredictable enemy AI makes the experience pretty tense, and will be a good one for survival-oriented players.
There’s no confirmed release date yet for The Twilight Project, and Teapot has simply stated that its date is still “to be announced”. Still, we’ll keep an eye out for any further updates from the developer.
