A bizarre Red Dead Redemption 2 bug has terrified one of its players, turning the Western into a horror game.

The glitch was discovered while randomly patrolling Red Dead Redemption 2’s open-world, and morphs things to a nightmare hellscape.

You can see the glitch in action on Lord_Smokelot’s Reddit post, who was riding around when suddenly the sky turned bright red like the blood moon from Zelda: Breath Of The Wild.

Why did this happen? Heaven knows but it’s pretty funny, and probably the closest thing we’ll get to another Undead Nightmare expansion unfortunately.

Lord_Smokelot said “That scared the sh*t out of me. Idk what happened,” and oddly the red sky didn’t go away even by the end of the video.

Chances are this is just a weird graphics glitch, but several users in the comments believe it could have something to do with the player’s PC driver, saying if they reinstall it things should go back to normal.

That being said I’d probably leave it as it is for a bit, and get some spooky in-game screenshots and videos, after all you’re probably not going to see something like that again anytime soon…

Other users joked that we’ve finally found out why Rockstar Games called it Red Dead Redemption, and others drew comparisons to the Berserk universe.

In other news, Red Dead Redemption 2 has a lot of mods available at the moment, many of which both improve the overall gameplay experience as well as fix some of its most annoying features and moments.

Who knows, maybe some modders will somehow recreate that red sky and make it a feature in the game, after all we’re not getting Undead Nightmare 2 anytime soon.
