With Gamescom taking place next week, rumours are running rampant on what video games might be announced but it seems that an already existing Xbox exclusive could be cruising over to PlayStation 5.
It’s not the first time that we’ve heard rumours of a leading Xbox franchise jumping over to PlayStation. Recently, there were rumours that the upcoming prequel, Gears of War: E-Day might release on the PlayStation 5.
Check out the Gears of War: E-Day trailer below!
If Gears of War: E-Day were to be released on PlayStation 5, it wouldn't be the first Xbox exclusive to make the jump as it would join the likes of Pentiment, Grounded, Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush.

However, the latter of which, Hi-Fi Rush is no longer an Xbox exclusive following its studio, Tango Gameworks being dropped by Microsoft and recently picked up by PUBG publisher, Krafton.
That being said, it was rumoured that yet another unnamed Xbox exclusive is coming to PlayStation and now, we’ve learned what that game might be. The exclusive in question could be the open-world racer, Forza Horizon 5.
Industry insider, Shinobi602 claims on ResetEra (thanks Insider Gaming), that Forza Horizon 5 might be announced for PlayStation 5 at Gamescom next week. To complicate matters further, Jez Corden says that Forza Horizon 5 won’t be announced for PlayStation 5 next week, but could not confirm whether or not Microsoft will still announce a new port for the blue brand.

Microsoft will be at Gamescom next week for at least three days from Wednesday 21 August to Friday, 23 August. Interestingly, on Wednesday, Forza Horizon 5 is confirmed to be at the show in some capacity.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough whether or not Forza Horizon 5 is the next Xbox exclusive headed to PlayStation 5. As always, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
Forza Horizon 5 is out now on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. It's also available with Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost.
